Gazing this photograph, at each photograph of this beautiful Alfa, has led me to appreciate an inside contradiction I carry. I really like this virtually boatlike entrance finish, these automobiles that appear as if they might ford water and float proper over it. The pointed tip seems aerodynamic, modern, prepared for motoring. The type works for me.
But, once I have a look at a G-nose Datsun Fairlady, it simply… doesn’t. It doesn’t work. The proportions are off, the glass covers on the headlights look flawed, every little thing simply begins to crumble. I like the usual Z — it’s my all-time favourite automotive design — however the G-nose simply seems unhealthy to me. But, right here, I find it irresistible. A lot to ponder.
